Speaking at Tara Anglican School for GirlsTuesday, 12 Oct, 2010
Allison was invited to speak at Tara Anglican School for Girls at their assembly this morning. Her role was to motivate the school (Kindy - Year 12) girls to acheive excellence in the final term of 2010. With the HSC exams coming up in a few weeks time, Allison was able to speak from the heart about possiblilies for the future and the rewards from hard work and not giving up! "Nothing is impossible with God".
After the assembly Allison got to sit in with a year 9 class where the girls got to ask one on one questions about life, regrets, dicipline and sacrifices.
An email was received that afternoon from Sarah a student at Tara:
Hope you are well, you spoke at my school this morning (Tara Anglican School for Girls), when going into assembly hearing we would be having a 'service' most of us new year 12 students groaned, thinking this won't benefit my life or be of any interest to me. But, we soon realised our thoughts were wrong, you were a massive encouragement to me and my fellow peers. By far one of the best assemblies I have been to since moving to Tara from my old school! Philippians 4:13 is an amazing verse! You encouraged me so much in my walk with Christ and to keep letting him have control over my life cause He is so powerful!
So, just a quick email to say thankyou so much, from the bottom of my heart, and keep up the good work encouraging people in such an amazing way!
